OVH Repro has been an integral part of Oakey Veterinary Hospital since our earliest days. We are located at Oakey, one of the biggest horse breeding regions in Australia, so we really do understand how to blend important old traditions with new research and technology.
The Director of OVH Repro, Dr David Pascoe, BVSc, PhD, FACVSc, is one of the world's leading Equine Reproduction Specialists. Dr Pascoe is a senior partner at the internationally respected Oakey Veterinary Hospital and he is also an Adjunct Professor of the Veterinary School, University of Queensland.
Dr Pascoe spent several years working in the USA at the University of California where he specialised in Equine Reproduction. He also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida and provided consultancies to major stud farms around the world.
Some of Dr Pascoe's most significant research breakthroughs include twin pregnancy reduction techniques, treating infertility in broodmares, the development of ultrasound techniques and the early development of non-surgical embryo transplant techniques. His research work and treatment includes sub-fertility in stallions, the role of different drugs in increasing fertility in broodmares and the early detection in the cause of abortions in mares.
