Cardiorespiratory Evaluation

In-depth evaluations can be performed on equine patients that are presented with evidence of congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease, or in which cardiovascular disease is suspected based on a history of poor performance or detection of a murmur or arrhythmia during examination.

Detailed cardiological examination involves evaluation of the heart using colour flow Doppler echocardiography (cardiac echo) and exercising electrocardiography (ECG).

Investigation of poor performance or coughing can be performed via videoendoscopic evaluation of the upper and lower respiratory system and with ultrasonography.
